[Rotary] Subject: Meeting of 6/29 and the Winner of the Raffle!!

Dear Rotarians, 
We had a great meeting on the 29th, with Grace Hendricks winning the grand drawing pot for members of $341.40 and Matt Davis the pot for guests of $25.00. Congratulations to both of you, and keep in mind, good things happen to Rotarians!! I cannot think of two more deserving winners. Brandt will make out the checks for you, contact him and let him know where they should be sent. $341.50 goes back to the club, and we will start a new raffle next month.
Rob Buch gave a great talk on MCN and then we turned to other things.
We talked about the 4th of July and Dining Raffle. Gary said we need all hands on deck for the 4th, and Leona asked that people contact her to get their tickets for sale.
We talked about the deadline for receipt of district grant requests, about $3,000 per club, which is August 1. Jeff and Toby are taking the quiz and signing the MOU to make them grant administrators.
AVENUE OF SERVICE CHAIRS, AND PARK CHAIR (That is Donna, for Youth, Margaret, for Community, Matt, for International and Jerry, for the Park), WE NEED PROJECT PROPOSALS within a week, in an e-mail to each one of us if possible but if not that verbally at the next meeting. That will give us two weeks, until July 20, to discuss, decide what we will do, follow up on details, and prepare and submit a project proposal and cost estimate. Maximum project size no limit but say $6,000.
Candidates include the Pomo Outlook and Walkway (Margaret), NW Corner of the Park (Jerry), Fiji Rural Health (Matt) and Pt Cabrillo Lighthouse rehab (??). 
The responsible committee is myself, as Chair, plus Toby, Donna, Margaret, Matt and Jerry.
Let's  get it done!!
