[Rotary] Subject: Rotary: Clothes for the Homeless

Dear Mendocino Rotarians:
Yesterday we delivered 10 containers of warm winter clothing to the Mendocino Coast Hospitality Center, to be used for the Street Medicine Program.
We had the pleasure of meeting Jessica Fitch, Vocational Training Coordinator, and several other staff of the Center, who were very happy with our contribution. 
The attached photo says it all.
The lead Rotarian on this project was Margaret Black, who designed our poster, got our message put out over KZYX, collected the clothing items from members and others, kept us all on our toes and stored the bags of clothing in her office  until we delivered them.
Thanks to all who contributed especially Gary Hopper who not only provided 60 pairs of socks at cost but also donated 5 jackets.

We are completing our clothing drive today, and there is some pretty nice and warm stuff here. Its all clean, all in good condition, and in plastic bags,

Mendocino Rotary is now collecting used but like new and clean warm weather clothing from its members in the hope that it may prove useful to the homeless this winter, and we wonder if as we did last year we could donate the clothing to the Hospitality Center for distribution to those in need.
We plan to have our drive complete by our second meeting of the month, on December 16, and wonder if that would work for you.
Any advice including on the types of clothing needed (men's and womens, outerwear, woolens, rain gear and also underwear and socks) would be much appreciated.
