[Rotary] Subject: Notes of Meeting of December 14, 2023 and Minutes of Meeting of December 7, 2023

Folks, 
We had a fun, enjoyable meeting at Patterson's Pub Thursday, with several members saying we should do this more often. Gary Champlin, our Area Governor and his lovely wife Eve joined us, which gave us a chance to meet and get reaquainted with both of them. The food was good, the service impressive and the venue worked really well. We met a visiting Rotarian and his wife who were having lunch there and who reached out to us with some good words about Rotary.
Toby handed out "Rotarian of the Year Awards" to Margaret, Matt O'Halloran and Jeff, 

Gary won the raffle, and received a bottle of wine, but sadly (hah!!) did not draw the joker.

Harold spoke of the fun he had had in Rotary and how much it meant to him. Matt Davis spoke about the importance of reaching out to young people and providing them a means to find a role for themselves.  
We reminded ourselves that we will meet tonight in the Park for tree lighting and Christmas caroling, and reminded all members to deliver their warm weather clothing to be donated to the Street Medicine program. 
There as a general view that we should have more meetings like this one. 
The minutes of the last Board meeting are attached. Apologies for taking so long with them, it was a busy time in the Stubbs household.
