Mendocino Rotarians,
Here is the invite to the 2022 District Training Assembly, to be held in Ukiah during April 1-2. This is a useful event in terms of what is taught, and for meeting other Rotarians and finding out what their clubs are doing.
Good if we can get several of us over there. Lets talk about it at our next meeting.

Hello District 5130 Rotarians!
It’s now time for us to come back together to reinvent, rebrand, reimagine, and REINVIGORATE our clubs! We are literally on the cusp of the greatest REBIRTH and transformation ever seen in the history of Rotary and we all have the privilege of being apart of it. Now is the time for us all to RETHINK the definition of what makes our clubs relevant, what is the glue that keeps us together, what gives us that connection we so need in our community, what drives us to service and to spend that most precious resource we have – TIME. This training assembly has been built with you and your clubs in mind. We have brought together a team of experts and subject matter consultants from near and far that are going to provide you with concrete and relevant ideas with the sole intention to help your team REIMAGINE the rebirth of your club. AND all attendees are going home with one of my hand raised baby vegetable plants from my greenhouse to take home and grow to something beautiful and yummy!
Come celebrate our first time back together with friends from around District 5130 at our Friday Night District Social and Environmental Showcase. Held at the beautiful Grace Hudson Museum Sun House, the new 7th Area of Focus – the Environment – will be on display along with fun, fellowship, food and libations. There will be docents from the Museum leading tours and discussions on the native plants, pollinators, forests and climate. Rotarians from our District will have tables set up with information of amazing projects and ideas to bring this ever important focus to your club. If your club would like to have a table, please let me know! And, of course we’ll have appetizers, beer and wine served in the gardens all wrapped up in a fun evening of friendship and fellowship. Following this, lets all grab some friends and enjoy a fun night out at one of Ukiah’s yummy restaurants.
Saturday morning bright and early, we will convene at the Ukiah Convention Center for a jam packed day of ideas, best practices and new ways to REIMAGINE your club and the good work that you all do. There will be dynamic sessions on Environmental Project Best Practices, Public Image Rebrand, Grants and International Projects, Membership & Engagement Resources, Dacdb Nuggets for Club Management, Fundraising Showcase of Secrets, Social Media on Steroids, New Ways to Video Market Your Club, Youth Exchange Rebirth, Rotary Visioning, Motivating Members, Personality and Teamwork, and MORE! The last session of the day will be spent with your club team bringing all of those incredible ideas into the beginnings of a strategic plan that you can take back and get rolling. Detailed agenda to come out soon.
So let’s kickoff this most amazing opportunity in Rotary history by coming together, sharing ideas, and coming back to our communities with a REINVIGORATED belief in our own abilities to effect change in our communities!
