Mendocino Theatre Company is excited to present the first "Green Space Players" youth production, featuring eight local teen actors and run by a crew of students. 

LOCKDOWN is a one-act thriller that follows eight high school students as they sit in a darkened classroom during an official school lockdown, not knowing why. "As the students sit there wondering what is really happening, their differences begin to fade away until they become one small frightened huddle," says director Lorry Lepaule. "LOCKDOWN reflects an untenable and terrifying reality for students today"

Douglas Craven's one-act thriller is particularly meaningful in light of the recent, and horrifically tragic, gun violence in this country. Therefore, MTC has pledged to donate 50% of the proceeds of the Saturday, June 25th performance to Sandy Hook Promise

About the production...
  |

|  LOCKDOWN features eight local teen actors: Annabell Guinan, Mason Oglesby, Lidie Jimenez-Potter, Sara Rose, Pablo Salmon, Katan Sosnovec, Derringer Tower, and Ethan Zartman.  The production is run by an all-student production team that includes: Frej Barty (sound); Bella Ficili (stage manager); Phannarai Inkun (assistant director); Annabelle Stacho (set); Maitreya Tindall (set); and Rory Twungubumwe (lighting). These students have been guided by professional MTC designers Diane Larson, Dave Gealey, and Ken Krauss, who offered their time and expertise as mentors.  |

|  LOCKDOWN runs June 23 through June 26, on Thursday, Friday, Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for youth 22 and under.  For tickets and information, please contact the MTC box office at 707-937-4477 or go to mendocinotheatre.org.  

NB:  At this time, all audience members must show proof of COVID vaccination. Masks are required in the theatre.  Concessions will be available on a limited basis in the lobby.  All our staff, actors, and volunteers are fully vaccinated.    |
