Rotarians, particularly Avenue of Service Chairs, please attend (as I will) by zoom if you cannot be present in person. 
We will be discussing emergency disaster relief for Tonga and should have a quorum to vote on the proposal. Since we have only 6 officers, a quorum is 4.
For background information, our projects and events budget provides $2,000 for Covid-19 relief in Fiji and Vanuatu, which we have not used, and $2,000 for disaster relief, a total of $4,000, of which we have used $2,000,  comprising $1,000 for Afghanistan and $1,000 for Haiti. The Afghanistan donation came from member funds, while the Haiti donation came from regular club funds. We had budgeted $6,300 in ordinary funding for Vanuatu and used only $6,000, a savings of $300.
We will propose disaster relief funding from club funds of $1,000 for Tonga.
That will leave $1,000 for possible future disaster relief funding, either international or local, for the remainder of the year.
Individuals may also contribute at the website http://www.rnzwcs.org.
Kathy Poole has contributed her own funds for Tonga already and we are in touch with Fort Bragg, Santa Rosa and our district to see if we can mobilize more. Judy Cakacaka of Fiji has urged us to help out in Tonga, as has Ann Owen in Katikati.
