[Rotary] A sad day

The coast lost one of its finest Saturday when Dave Gross passed. He was husband to lovely Betty. He loved his son Peter who delighted shoppers at Harvest for years before retiring. Walks on the beach with his pooch were daily. I have been privileged to have weekly breakfasts with Dave for the last few years. He was a true gentleman who loved to travel, and was just last year in England and Switzerland with a young relative. His stories were endless about goings on on the coast and it seemed he knew EVERYbody having been a teacher and a principal for years locally. I will miss him and forever cherish the days we had together as he learned to forage for porcini and chanterelle, an endeavor he couldn't get enough of. May his memory be a blessing.
