[Rotary] Rotary Ukraine Relief

I had a good phone conversation with Carsten yesterday.  He is in good
spirits and remains tireless in his efforts to support refugees.

At this time, they have plenty of medical supplies stockpiled, which will
be used as intended, but they already have several months worth safely
stored.  On the other hand, many mothers and children left Ukraine in a
hurry with just a carry-on bag, and they have many needs.  Our gifts are
being well spent and 100% accounted for by Susanne, who is a corporate
attorney with a background in finance.

As you may have read, Carsten and Susanne took a Ukrainian mother and her
two children into their home.  They wanted, but were unable to have
children of their own.  It's been a sometimes comical learning curve
for Carsten, suddenly thrust into parenting.  Their guests brought two
cats, so it has been quite an adjustment for their sweet little dog Daisy
too.  Nevertheless, it is a rewarding experience for all of them.

Many Ukrainian moms and children are stuck at our southern border, hoping
for American sponsors.  Anyone out there willing to consider taking in a
few house guests?
