[Rotary] John Porter Update

[John Cottle]

John will be going to an assisted living facility tomorrow, Sept 3.  It has
been a difficult decision for him and Janice, his wife of 30+ years, but
his needs exceed what can be met at home at this time.  Part time home
caregivers are in extremely short supply at this time.

The good news is that a lovely setting nearby has a room for him.  They
only house six at a time, and it comes recommended by two of the Porter's
friends.  In fact one of them, Walt McKeown, resides there already.  Some
of you may remember him as a speaker at club meetings at the Hill House
years ago.

It may be a few days before John has a phone and computer installed, but he
will be connected soon.  Visitors are welcome, vaccinated and masked I
presume.  Preferred visiting hours are 10-11:30 and 1-4.  It is only a 20
minute drive from Mendocino.

Janice some much needed free time, and to those of you who were ready to
