[Rotary] Dine out Fundraiser

Good afternoon Rotarians,

Subject:  Dine-Out Fundraiser

A question came up at our last meeting regarding the timing of our “Dine Out” raffle / fundraiser.  We were discussing the merits of beginning before Christmas versus waiting until after the holidays.  I believe President Toby is looking to Ray and I to push forward on facilitating the event.  A good thing, but I personally have some heavy commitments between now and Christmas.  At this time we currently have gift certificates for the Little River Inn, Ledford House and Albion River Inn.   If there are opportunities in your near future to move forward in securing more certificates I will list what has been secured so we don’t repeatedly go the same business.  

I am also attaching a spreadsheet that Ray Alarcon provided listing the raffle ticket sales from our last Dine-Out Fundraiser.  This has personal contact info, so should be kept in confidence by Rotarians.  As I remember we had tickets limited to a number of 100 for last year, but have discussed raising the amount of tickets to 150 along with the idea of having a 2nd and 3rd prize.  I know we will need to get the tickets printed to begin sales, so that will probably be the priority step to get the ball rolling if we want to begin prior to Christmas.   Sooo… The immediate question is, do we have a sample from last year and who did the printing?   We’ll need to nail down what 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be, but I know of a couple of Rotarians that had pretty good ideas.  Ambitious endeavor for the holidays, but I’ll put in what I can and may be able to do some remote work on travel.
