[Rotary] Fwd: Vote on Flag Pole Location

I made a mistake and replied to Jerry only for the flag location response.
I’ll add to my post below by saying, the flag pole was a new addition to
me, and while my meeting attendance has not been 100% , I wondered how I
missed the discussion and vote. It’s was surprise initially, but I have
come to accept that if this is the wish of most let’s put up a pole of it
can be approved with our plan. If it is not already painted white, it
should probably be, and made to look as *historical* or traditional as can
be. Living on a sailboat for over ten years, I saw my share of masts, spars
and poles, and some were ugly and loud when ropes were not secured and
rattled all night long distributing the neighbors, and some were tapered,
shaped and attractive.

I vote for the NE corner, but my first choice would have it be located near
our pump house or shed. We have our Japanese garden section going in the SE
corner, and there is already a lamp post and the Pine tree- might seem like
three uprights dominating that corner. If located near the pump house, it
would be collocating the man made structures together, and would be like a
ship with a mast. Thanks for giving us a chance to discuss and chose the
location.
