[Rotary] Subject: Going Dark this Thursday

Dear Mendocino Rotarians and Friends,
We have much to be thankful for, including John Porter's return home from hospital, the realization that some time fairly soon most of us will have been vaccinated, and the work being done by Matthew O'Halloran, John Cottle and others in the Park.
We will be dark this Thursday, March 4, but come back full steam on March 11, 18 and 25. 
Committee Chairs, please let us know what you would like to discuss /present. I am thinking we should aim for an update of our budget at the end of the month, so this is your chance to get more for your avenue of service/give up funds that can be used by others.
As noted recently, our club is presently ranking far below where we should be in contributions to Rotary International. Please get on your MyRotary page and get our contributions up. 
The golf tournament begins today, and we have had expressions of interest from a fair number of our club members, as well as Fort Bragg Rotary. Form your teams, let me know their names and handicaps, and when you will play, send me your checks made out to Mendocino Rotary, $30 per player per round, and off we go.
One potential participant asked if he could be in more than one partnership or play in more than one round a month. The answer to both is "Yes" as long as you let me know by e-mail beforehand. The more entrants the better.
Please send Harold your happy dollars, fines and contributions in lieu of lunch.
