[Rotary] Subject: Rotary Club of Mendocino: Debunking

Dear Rotarians and Friends,
Last night, from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm, we held the annual debunking and awards night, at the Noyo Harbor Inn garden. We had cocktails in the bar, and dinner which was delicious in the garden. The event was well-attended by the following Rotarians and Friends: Jerry and Kathy Karabensh, John and Betty Cottle, Donna Schuler and Chris Thomas, Dean and Shirley Watson, Toby Wade, Jesse and Judy Martin, Pete and Chris Rose, Harold Hauck and Annie Liner, Gary Hopper and Johanna, Susan Keller and Richard Green, Mike Sandys and ___, and Jeff and Karen Stubbs. The cost was $75 for a couple and $40 for a single. A bottle of wine was provided for each table. 
Jeff opened the meeting by thanking the guests, the hotel and Rotarians who had stepped in to plan and carry out the event, chief amongst them Jerry Karabensh, without whose help the evening would not have happened. Happy dollars were announced and there was much socializing and mingling of guests. Jeff announced the awards for the year, which were as follows:

Jeff has the certificates for Matthew, Ray and Brandt and will bring them to our next meeting. 
Jeff thanked all those who had stepped forward to make our club work during the pandemic, and Donna for not only her work with youth but also for doing the calligraphy for the awards.
Various persons took turns roasting the President while we enjoyed the carrot cake.
John Cottle and a few others did a skit to the tune of the well-known song "trashman".
Jeff handed the gavel to the incoming President, Toby Wade, and declared the party closed at about 9:30.
The next club meeting will be Thursday, July 1, at 12:15, in the Mendocino Cafe. We will probably not attempt to zoom the meeting since our recent efforts to hold an in-person meeting together with a zoom meeting have not been very successful.
