Apologies for my flippant response to Gary's comment. Yes, we can if so desired play two 9 hole events but they should be the front nine and back nine. 
I decided not to recommend a 2nd prize to keep our record keeping simple and also because we will have a "season-long" prize for the best overall player. So a first prize on a given month will be 2/6 of the pot and at the end of the season of 3 months there will be an award of 1/6 of the cumulative pot. Together 1/2 the total pot to winners and 1/2 to the club.
One further suggestion: I think we should let players play as many times in a month as they wish, as long as they play by our tournament rules (which should take precedence over other rules that may be in effect) and report their scores at the end of the day. Each player can then take his/her two best 9-hole scores in the month. 
Do have a look at the rules and let me know if they should be tweaked further.

We will have a golf tournament each month of February, March and April. Although the primary purpose will be to have fun and get to know each other better, we will also raise some money for the club.
We will play at Little River, separately, following pandemic rules. Each player will play 18 holes. We can discuss on Thursday whether we will designate the days on which we will play, or allow each of us to pick his/her best 18 hole score made during the month.  To play, send me before the first of next month an e-mail with your name, the name, e-mail and telephone number of your guest, your handicap, how many mulligans or gimmees you want to purchase, the days you will play and a check made out to the club.
Let me know your score after you play, and I will keep a record for us.
