[Rotary] Sister Club relationship and fires

Hi Ann, good to hear from you. We are as you probably suspect still laboring under a botched CV19 outbreak, with no end in sight, and restraints on travel for most Americans on both ends of the trip. We could and would like to learn from New Zealand but the sad truth is that most Americans one as far as I know those of us in the Mendocino International team are not planning travel abroad until at least next summer.
There are fires in our region, including the August fire which is huge but burning in largely rural areas. As long as the wind does not shift we are ok in Mendocino.
Before the Coronavirus outbreak we had interest from our younger members in a trip to Vanuatu and Fiji, but that interest has taken a back seat to coping with the CV19. I will try to revive that interest, and talk with other clubs in our region about possible sister relationships.
I personally would like nothing better than to visit Katikati and New Zealand, and we appreciate your invite, but please understand we are a small club operating under severe constraints, both external and internal, right now.
Cheers,
Jeff Stubbs

 Hi Jeffry,
We have been following the news re the fires in the North West, and hope
they do not impact Mendocino.
Tonight at Rotary I discussed the issue of inviting Mendocino members to
visit Katikati, when you next visit Port Vila.We would like to have a
recognised sister Club relationship, and to remain in communication with
you all.
Do you think this is possible?
Kind regards,
Ann Owen
