Dear Gary,

I hope this email finds you well! As you may remember, I am a District
5130 Rotex member (past Rotex president 2016-17) and former exchange
student to Argentina in 2011-2012 and sponsored by the wonderful Mendo
club!  Also CC'd on this email is Gabby Gomez, 2018-19 Rotex Co-President.
She is from St. Helena and spent her year abroad in Switzerland.

Rotex 5130 is an organization within Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) comprised
of past exchange students who use their experience and knowledge to mentor
inbounds, outbounds, and rebounds, to ensure that students have the most
successful exchange possible. Rotex provides vital support to RYE Committee
members and exchange students. 7 of our 12 members attended the 4th Annual
International Rotex Convention in Taiwan in August 2018 where we were able
to collaborate on an international level with other Youth Exchange
Ambassadors (future Rotarians!).

For the past two years, our Rotex Club has hosted a Rotex Weekend for
Inbound Students in Sacramento, CA. This year, we are changing things up
and are *hosting a weekend in Fort Bragg*! We think this will be a great
opportunity to bring RYE to the Coast. The weekend will be held from *April
26-28, 2019 and we anticipate over 30 attendees.*



I am reaching out to ask for your club’s* assistance with the Rotex
Weekend. We are asking for a $300 donation which will cover the Tie-Dye
Shirts and other craft activities, *however any amount is greatly
appreciated. Checks can be made out to: Rotary District 5130 Youth

If there are any Rotarians interested in learning more about Youth Exchange
or Rotex, we would be happy to set up a meeting over the weekend. We are
still finalizing the agenda but we will spending lots of time at the beach
and in town and Rotarians are welcome to meet our awesome group of
