[Rotary] Fwd: Hors d'oeuvres banquet menu with heavy apps 4-16-13

Rotarians,
Our meeting begins at 5:30 at the Hill House this Thursday. We are setting
up in the bar area this week. Please choose 4 items from the attached menu
listing your top choices at the top of the list and respond, and I will try
to get some of your choices. We need to order 3-4 appetizers that can
members can place on small plates, so think of ones that can be shared with
15-20 people. We will ask Jamie for pricing at 15, 20 and so on until our
numbers stabilize. If you have an idea for food not on this list, put that
down for future evening meetings. Think of pub fare like Patterson's has-
is there something they serve that you like? No deep fry. Baked or cold
items only. Egg-free gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian choices will
be part of our offerings. I know- change takes work!!

Invite guests. A business/owner or professional on Main Street? An
Innkeeper? Music Festival friends? A Rotarian who has left, to invite back?
Everyone needs to invite and bring guests. Spouses and partners too!

The format will be different, and more of a social after a brief bit of a
meeting. We do have a speaker for our next evening meeting in November-
Kate Lee, Publisher of the Mendocino Beacon. What I would like is for a
member or two to be at a table and to tell guest or potential members about
Rotary.

Be ready to answer What is Rotary? Keep it short. Remember that 3 in twenty
rule. We have 3 seconds to begin, and 20 to wrap it up. Rotary is leaders
coming together, forming friendships, talking about problems, and coming up
with plans to help others. Something like that. Look on

tell them about it, and our calendar of events. Look at our Facebook page,
Mendocino Rotary, Like and share. You can leave comments or post there too.
Photo's of projects are great to post.

John Porter, can you bring some copies of you letter to your faithful
donors to our meeting? I'll bring a stack of the Real Estate Magazine
article from last January.

Please RSVP that you are coming or not this week, I have a had few
responses. Will New Zealand guests be coming? I need to know.
