Dear Rotarians,
We had a good evening program by Kate Lee and Chris Calder of the local
newspapers last night. Club Rotarians were engaged, and had excellent
questions for the press.
We had delicious appetizers- chicken satay with peanut sauce, endive
spears, spanikotia and cheese tray, plus no host bar. I am afraid we went
in the hole on expenses. Attendance was poor.
Thank you, Brandt, Matt, Jerry, John Porter, Harold and Annie for coming-
and Dean and Gary for arriving early and for setting up (club service).
There were a handful of Rotarians who RSVP'd. Sean is out of town on family
vacation, Heather was leading a workshop in Ukiah, Guenter sent an Email
that he couldn't make it, Ray and Jody are on leave of absence...,
My point is, please be considerate and respond to emails and phone calls,
regarding our club. It's basic courtesy to your club members who do show up
and work consistently.
Our club calendar is on our website. I announce our upcoming events at our
meetings. I post some event on our Facebook page. I return calls promptly
when you call me. Or text me. There is no excuse for being ill informed.
