  Good morning dear Presidents!

I hope all of you are doing great and your Rotary year is full of
acomplishments, but as you all know we still have six months left and there
is still lots more to do before the Rotary Year is over.

I want to invite all of you to participate on the International project
that our Ukiah High Interact Club have put together and the Rotary Clubs of
Ukiah (Ukiah Rotary and South Ukiah Rotary) are sponsoring.
It consists of building a Kitchen/Cafeteria in the school Josefa Ortiz de
Dominguez in the town of San Nicolas, Cocula Jalisco Mexico, the structure
will be used for Rain Water Harvesting and all the Rain Water collected
will be stored in a 20,000 liters underground tank, the school will use the
water to irrigate their garden farmed by the students and all produce will
be used to feed the students in the Kitchen/Cafeteria, the project will
also provide the school with 20 computers for the students to learn. The
estimated cost is $20,000.00
And a second project they will also donate to Asilo San Juan Diego in
Puerto Vallarta Mexico to improve their facility for better care for the
elderly. A $10,000.00 estimated cost.

Both projects will be finished by March 15 2017. We are partnering with the
Ameca Rotary Club and they are ready to Rock and Roll. This is considered a
club to club small project and will be finished way before your year is
over.
We want to ask all of you if you would like to participate on the project
as a club or as an individual.
Our fundraiser consists of selling raffle tickets that gives the
opportunity to win two 7 night vacation packages to any of the 4000 RCI
affiliated resorts in the world.

The tickets are $10,00 each or 12 tickets for $100.00 (they make the
perfect last minute Christmas present) The drawing will be done on January
19 2017 at our club's  meeting.
If your club wants to participate they can submit their funds to the South
Ukiah Rotary Foundation Po Box 1740 Ukiah Ca 95487 or buy a lot of raffle
tickets and get a chance to win one of the two vacation packages.
