Hello Rotarians,
Two super big events in one week- wow!! John Cottle's 350 mile meteor-like
transit from Crescent City to Petaluma this week is surely an astronomical
event in the history of Mendocino Rotary!

The second event is next Mondays Solar Eclipse, which some of our Rotarians
are not only knowledgable about, but are also traveling out of state for
optimum viewing. This Thursday we will have a great meeting and program:

We will explore the natural phenomena of Solar Eclipses. Presented by the
club’s Amateur Astronomer Harold Hauck, the talk and slide show will delve
into the many interesting aspects of the soon to occur, 08/21/2017, event.

Harold will also serve as Fine Master, so come to the meeting prepared to
answer Solar Eclipse questions. Also, the new 2017/2018 Club Directory and
Handbook is hot off the Zo Press and will be distributed at this meeting.
Come early, come all, get your copy of the club directory, enjoy lunch and
become informed about next Monday’s spectacular Solar Eclipse.

Golf Tournament Chairs will be looking for help completing the remaining
needed tasks leading up to our August 26th Tournament- including day of
Tourney BBQ and clean up. Keep the dialog going, club members,
