Dear Rotarians,
This is the first quarterly newsletter of our District 5130. We did not
submit (I verbally gave some information to our AG), and I have sent them a
request to correct the date for our golf tournament. Please think about
what we will submit for the Oct/Fall Quarter newsletter. Jerry is our PR
chair- discuss ideas with him. We have plenty of cool things to be proud of
and share.

This is the first issue of a District 5130 newsletter -- with inputs from
DG Bob Rogers and the thirteen District 5130 Assistant Governors.  It is a
newsletter, not a webpage, and has a different function because it is a
distributed, archive-able document - as opposed to most webpages that are
ephemeral.  This newsletter is produced in MS Word, with Photoshop and
Adobe Acrobat and distributed as a .pdf file so it can be opened and saved
on any computer.

Initially it is proposed to publish this newsletter quarterly.
 (Tentatively July-October-January-April).  If the DG, AG's, or others
provide enough material (text and photos), then more frequent distribution
will be arranged.

The purpose of this newsletter is transparancy for all District 5130
Rotarians - a place to share ideas, inspire other clubs to try new
programs, offer or request assistance, and recognize progress.  Ot is a
place to talk about club and District goals - and needs for success. It is
not intended to compete with any club newsletters or webpages. We welcome
your comments.
