[Rotary] May Programs and board positions update

Dear Rotarians,

To begin with, surprise (!) here is our nice May calendar :)

*Please note the possible dates for our Board Retreat are, June
10th, June 11th June 24th or June 25th from 1-5 at my house. I am open
to other date suggestions, but there is the film fest weekend, and then
Father's day in June. I do need a response from the board and committee
chairs.*

Secretary- Heather Paulsen- She wants a replacement for the view, last I
heard.

- He wants a replacement for next year- needs someone to shadow and learn
the ropes this year.

welcoming. I am thinking this could be split up into July- December, then
Jan- June with two people.  Dean will take on the support needed up for
Audio Visuals, a spare tech person is needed when he is not present.
Another committee member will likely be a new member.  This is vital to
running smooth meetings and providing a pleasant guest, member, and
visiting Rotarians experience.

are capable enough to write a newspaper piece or

snapping a photo and sharing via multiple media means.

  Dean Watson. Past DG Kevin Eisenberg is our contact and will help with
this. This is to help make sure we do not miss out on helping new members
learn about Rotary, important grant training, working with youth
requirements training, Youth Exchange programs, etc.

*Youth Exchange*- Remember when Mendocino had a vibrant student exchange
program? This is one of those things that brings vitality to the club AND
exposure about
Mendocino 
Rotary in our community
 and Internationally
!! I am trained as a youth exchange officer
 as of 
Oct/2016, but we *NEED* both an Inbound and an Outbound counselor to make
it happen again. Our District
 5130
has a stellar YE Program. Don't worry, it's 2018-2019 year we are talking
about, but we have two well qualified Mendocino HS students who want to go
then.

Fundraisers Chair?
Programs Committee?
I have been visiting other clubs and learned from those visits, these are
really important.

If I have misunderstood or missed a volunteer for a position, please let me
know right away.

Scholarship Committee meets at my house tomorrow 5/1 at 5pm
