Dear Gary,

In my earlier message today, I mentioned that I would let you know if
additional assistance was needed beyond cash donations to the LARCA relief
fund.

Here is a message from Jennifer Strong, who helped coordinate last year's
effort:


"Hi All – I just spoke with Pastor Shannon Kimball-Auth who is coordinating
the evacuation center at the Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Currently they
are in need of volunteers to help on shifts as well as with meals.  Please
see the schedule on her facebook page. Here is the link.
https://www.facebook.com/shannon.kimbellauth  They do have dinner covered
for tonight.  Her cell number is 349-2324 but she would prefer messages on
Facebook.  I have shared this information on the Lakeport Rotary and the
LARCA facebook pages.  Also, at this time they are not accepting physical
donations but will let me know of that changes.  What they do need right
now, in addition to volunteers, is cash and gift cards.    I would like to
propose to the committee that we consider doing a $500 cash donation and
$500 in $25/$50 gas and grocery store gift cards for them.  She will take
care of getting them disseminated within the SDA evacuation center as well
as Kelseyville and Middletown."

and from Melissa Fulton of the Lake County Chamber of Commerce:

"Just got off the phone with a Safeway corp. representative and will be
texting her the website.  Their local managers are in the loop to assist
firefighters with their needs plus they are working on a plan to get their
customers involved with making donations."


I will continue to update you as I get more information.
