This Thursday at noon Gary Hopper will deliver a program which he assures
me will be accompanied by laughter galore.  He asks for all of us to bring
a supply of $1 and $5 bills for the more than usual fines.  Hey Gary, is
this any way to make and keep friends?

I hate to deliver this news by email, but not all of you will be there
Thursday for this announcement calling for your vote.  Your board met
earlier today and decided to ask you to increase the charge for weekly
lunches from $20 to $25, effective July 1.  Also we need to raise annual
dues, payable July 1, from $240 to $250.  Unfortunately our Administrative
expenses have been regularly exceeding our income for more than a year.
All club members will vote on both of these items next week, at the
Thursday June 18 meeting.

This Saturday is the Rotary Park Art Competition unveiling at the Mendocino
Community Center.  It will be a feature of this month's Second Saturday
offerings and we hope that most of you will stop by to enjoy the art,
represent your club to the public, and thank Cornelia for organizing this
event on top of being president of our Mendocino Rotary Foundation.  This
event is made possible by a generous donation from recently deceased Rotary
supporter Chatter Bishoff.
