[Rotary] Sunshine and Jerry

He everyone,
Since I saw Jerry twice yesterday I thought I would give you an update with
his blessing. He definitely feels much better than when he arrived at MCDH
mid week. His progress was hampered by a gout flare up which now is under
control. Yesterday, with Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy
assistance he was able to sit up at the edge of the bed in the morning with
out feeling queasy, and by afternoon, he was able to stand up at the edge
of the bed ( with a walker, and three people)!  We were all very
encouraged, he is progressing and working hard doing his exercises.  Cathy
is there daily and can let you know when he feels up to having visitors. Or
you can call the hospital 961-1234, and ask them to connect you to him. He
was in such good humor yesterday, that he san the Chiquita banana song for
me, and was making staff laugh. He is a Green Bay fan, FYI. Ahh...Jerry.
I'll see him again on Monday.
