Ironically Rotary was dark at the same time our days were shortest. Days
are slowly lengthening, and it's time to get in gear with a New Year.
This week we will at last get the mandatory training for a new ongoing
Community Service job, cleaning Highway 1 from Big River to Jack Peters
Creek. John Porter is presenter and has an interesting quiz relating to
California highways. The training consists of watching a video, followed
by Q & A. Bonus round, who can tell me who Jack Peters was?
Please join us for lunch this Thursday noon at St A's. By popular vote and
board approval the bell will ring at noon, not 12:15.
Don't forget to use the Rotary RSVP address above if you can't make it.
The "grace period" on fines for failing to do so has ended, as of Jan 1 it
will be $15 to cover the cost of food.
President John
