All of us in Rotary have a busy Saturday ahead, and it sounds like it will be a very successful golf tournament.I am looking forward to it.I sent a message this evening to the announce list --below-- asking for help at the Community Center's Work Day on Sunday. 
If you have even an hour or so available on Sunday, the Community Center playground that Rotary has supported needs considerable cleanup work: pruning, weeding, some fence repair, sign mounting...The Center was warned last week after playground insurance inspection about structural and layout violations which we needed to address before school starts next week. With a combination of donated and purchased materials, donated consulting, and both staff and volunteer time, we have at least temporary solutions for the issues.But with energy depleted from this scramble, the playground and building still need some tending before school opens. Staff and parents could use any help you can offer on Sunday between 10am and 4pm.

Community Center Needs Extra Help Right NOW
 
Hello friends and neighbors of the Community Center of Mendocino
Do you attend meetings or classes here? 
Do your children play in the playground?
Do you play Petanque? Walk your dog?
 
The Community Center has had a rough summer. You may have heard that the After School Program Director, Peg Brown Levy, was out sick for over two months. Peg is on the mend now and will be returning part time. But the Center really needs extra help right now to get ready for the season ahead.  How about coming out on Sunday, August 23rd, anytime from 10am - 4pm to play/work with all of us to make our community center clean and welcoming to the new crop of kids and adults coming to classes in this new year.
