If it has to be a simple thumbs up or down, then I'm going for No. I
personally would like to see us do more that has payback for the efforts of
Rotarians. "FUN & Fellowship" along with the fundraising. Theatre night
sounds great! We have had a good time with this in the past. Casino night
does well and is enjoyable for Rotarians. I'm hoping we can come up with a
signature event for Rotary Park that would be hands on with the community
and a fundraiser too. Even the Abalone Festival is opening up booth space
for non-profits??? Another stack of raffle tickets or submitting email
lists of my family and friends is feeling a bit rode hard and I am just not
very interested in doing either.

Importance: High

Good morning Rotarians,

Last week I sent an email describing a proposal to hold the E. John Robinson
Art Raffle as a fundraiser. I received some response, but more is
necessary. Please respond with a simple YES or NO to this email.

In review, the event would take place in December and include a dinner at
the Ledford House on December 2nd. At this dinner the winning raffle
tickets will be drawn. I have taken on the responsibility of overall Chair,
John Porter is Raffle Ticket Sales Chair and Harold Hauck has volunteered to
do the brochure and tickets. All the rest of the members have to do is help
sell tickets themselves or furnish the names and addresses of a minimum of
10 individuals that the Raffle Ticket Sales Committee will handle. If you
wish to have me send you a copy, by return email, of the complete proposal I
sent our last week, let me know.

Time is the essence, please respond with a YES or NO to this proposed
fundraising event. If I get a majority of YES votes I will continue with
the plans for the event. If the majority of the members vote NO I will
cancel all plans for holding the event.

       Jerry
