[Rotary] A note vote on the Art Fundraiser at Ledford from Fundraising Chair Bruce

Jerry,

I also vote "No." I agree with Cornelia that we have already have a lot of fundraisers and the Fundraising Committee decided to add "theatre night."

What we need is a discussion at a full club meeting regarding the member's will for more fundraisers, ticket sales, etc.

I do not agree with some in the club who feel we need to raise a certain dollar level "because we've always done it in the past" or because "non-profits depend on us."

Once we get some feel from the club, we can better determine what is best mix of fundraisers and hands-on community service.

Thanks for your enthusiasm. The Club may decide this is a wonderful thing and vote in favor. If so, I will, of course, support whatever events we put on.
