[Rotary] Rotary Foundation Board meeting

This report is to bring the Rotary Club up to date on decisions made at the meeting of the Board of the Rotary Foundation of Mendocino on September 15, 2014. 
The Rotary Foundation board voted to proceed with closing escrow on Rotary Park on October 15, 2014. With several recent donations, the balance needed to do so--which includes funds provided by Rotary Club--is now available.  Fundraising will continue in order to ensure adequate ongoing funding. Additional events and fundraising activities for the Park are under consideration. 
The board voted to request that the Mendocino Services District evaluate its potential ownership of Rotary Park. 
The board is also making enquiries as to the full costs and other implications of the Foundation holding the property itself long term.
The Board agreed to continue selling pavers, and will hold funds from recent donations towards the eventual purchase of the pavers for a path or patio. 
In related news, we have received a $5000 donation from Chatter Bishoff to be used to involve the community in planning the next stage for Rotary Park.  Details of what this will entail will be forthcoming.
