[Rotary] This week in Rotary

I hope that all of you and your families had a wonderful day of Thanksgiving last week. We certainly did with my in-laws visiting from out of state, while another family of local friends joined us for turkey and trimmings. We have much for which to be grateful.

This Thursday, we welcome Walt McKeown again for an educational talk on comets. Though the recent comet landing was a bit disappointing at the end, much was learned. It is our good fortune to have Walt at the podium again.

Look for another email asking you to take a survey, which I hope you do soon. The results will help the board and I know whether certain changes need to be made or not. Help us to better help you!

Less than two weeks to go for the Holiday Tree Lighting in Rotary Park. Our local merchants will be hyping it, falling as it does on the next Second Saturday. We could use more strings of tinsel, what I have is a gold/red mixture, so more gold or another mixture would help, maybe Rotary blue/gold? Non-breakable ornaments will be appreciated too, we are getting better quality commercial LED lights to last many years so look for other things with longevity. Some winders to keep the lights from tangling will be needed later. YOUR contributions will be gladly accepted, whether some things or your time. Extra thanks for those who give BOTH!

I hope to see you Thursday, and don’t forget to RSVP to the second address above if you can’t make it or if you plan to bring a guest.

Happy Holidays!

President John
