[Rotary] Weather in San Diego County

Dear Rotarians:

As some of you know, we are in S Cal for the week, in Carlsbad.   Yesterday we had a HOT day in San Diego and Coronado, and then returned to the Four Seasons Aviara resort to find ourselves blocked out due to the Poinsettia fire.   Everyone in a large area in Carlsbad was under mandatory evacuation so there we were, hot, tired,and with nothing but our sweaty clothes to our names.   Anyway, the mandatory evacuation was ended during the night.

Today all is ok here and we are back in the resort again.  There are still nine fires burning in San Diego County - especially around San Marcos - but the Santa Ana winds are not as strong today (it’ll still be 100 degrees), and all is due to change tomorrow with the onshore winds.
