It was a really fun event for both the kids and adults. This is the first
year I have colored eggs since my younger days as a parent. My Granddaughter
Ellis was delighted with the eggs she found and the ice cream cone she won.
It was a great way to show the community some of the possibilities that
Rotary Park brings to our town. I will bring photos of the event to show
prior to the meeting on Thursday. Thanks for all you did to make this happen
Jerry!
Regards,
Harold

Subject: [Rotary] Easter Egg Hunt
Good morning Rotarians,
I will not be at the meeting this Thursday so I am sending my report on the
Easter Egg Hunt via this email.
IT WAS A SUCCESS!!!!!
The club members provided more than 200 eggs, both hard boiled and plastic
and they were all picked up by about 50 kids that showed up. They were all
very excited and their parents thanked all the Rotarians that were able to
attend the event. Our very own Easter Bunny was a huge success.
The Interact members were very helpful. They hid all the eggs. The hunt
started at 1 PM and was over by 1:15 PM. The kids were very quick in
finding the eggs. Some of the plastic eggs had candy, others had gift
notices that were used to collect the gifts we had at the sign up table.
We have the names of each of the kids and their parents email addresses.
If I can read them I will follow up with a note to all of those who attended
the hunt. Some of the plastic eggs had ice cream certificates donated by
Frankie's. She gave us 25 of them. If you stop by be sure and thank her
and buy yourself a cone, pizza or other food product to show her our
appreciation.
Thank you for all your cooperation. We will plan on doing it again next
Easter Sunday.
Jerry
