I have sold five more. Janis sold four art Center , not included in my
count. Jerry's estimate of my sales was too high.. I have $3600 as of otday,
not counting Janis's .Big problem is so very MANY Rotarians have sold NONE
and bought none. John

I think we need an accurate count so that we can better assess the
situation.
Perhaps we are closer than we think on sales. Can we do this by lunch
time
today?

TO ALL:
I personally do not remember it being stated that we would only hold the
drawomg for the raffle if we sold 200 tickets. Our goal was 200 tickets!!!
I would never have supported a raffle that said we had to sell a certain
number of tickets or it would not take place. That is absurd rule for a
raffle. John Porter has sold over $4000 worth of tickets. What have the
rest of you sold? He has told people who bought his tickets that the raffle
would be drawn at Casino Night on April 12th. It would be a violation of
John's statements to the many people he sold tickets to if we do not have
the raffle drawing on April 12th. If the rest of you think we need to sell
200 tickets, get off your duffs and sell them or buy them yourselves. We
should have the drawing for the raffle on April 12th regardless of how many
tickets we have sold. Have each of you bought or sold the two tickets you
were given? If not, it is your fault we have not sold 200 tickets.
Roughly 35 Rotarians should have bought or sold at least 70 tickets and this is
not the case. Let's be Rotarian Gentlemen and Women and not nit pick. We
can try to sell the rest of the tickets on Casino Night before the
drawing. If we don't that is result of poor participation by some members of the
club. I do not believe the tickets say anything about the drawing will
only be held if we sell 200 tickets. Do I feel strongly about this? YES I
DO!!!

My understanding from the very beginning was that we would have the raffle
when we sold the 200 tickets. It was a suggestion to do it at Casino
Night, not an absolute.

LaDonna,

Are you saying that if we do not sell 200 raffle tickets by this Saturday
we will not have the raffle for the eagle? I do not believe we can do
this. Tickets were sold and I do not think any information indicated that if
we did not sell 200 tickets we would not raffle off the eagle. Are you
suggesting that we return the money, $7350 already collected, to those who
bought tickets? I certainly would not agree to this.

Jerry

[Rotary] Important news re meeting

Fellow Rotarians,

Thursday is our last meeting before Casino Night on Saturday. It is really
important to turn in your checks and tickets at this meeting for both the
entrance tickets as well as the tickets for the Wheatly Allen Eagle. We
are hoping to draw the winner of the Eagle on Saturday but we must have all
200 tickets sold to do so.

As of right now we have aproximately 85 tickets sold for Casino night -
(We need 150) and 147 Eagle Raffle tickets (We need 200). We know that many
of you have sold tickets that you have not turned in so let's hope we get a
surge this Thursday.

I have not been able to confirm David Little as our speaker. If Mr.
Little does not show up, we will devote the meeting to last minute preparations
for Casino night. This is not a meeting you want to miss as our Card game
pot is over $750.00. Our menu is a mexican theme with Chili Verde, Spanish
Rice, and the usual yummy sides.

Thanks
LaDonna
