Hi folks:
As users of the Redwood Coast Senior Center, I thought you might be
interested in an opportunity to help the center.

For those of you who are not familiar with the funding situation of Redwood
Coast Senior Center, they have lost 40% of their food funding, which
seriously impacts their Meals on Wheels and daily lunch service in the
dining room.

There's an organization called 100 Women Strong who is interested in
donating to the senior center. They select up to three LOCAL nonprofit
organizations to make a large donation to each year. This year, the Redwood
Coast Senior Center is one of those three. The senior center could receive
as much as $10,000.

How do you come in? Show up at the *next 100 Women Strong meeting on
October 23 at 6pm at Eagle's Hall*, donate $100, and show your support for
the senior center. The more women who come and donate, the bigger the
winning donation can be.

After each organization makes their pitch, everyone who made a donation
votes for their preferred nonprofit. We have been told that there is
usually enough money donated to give something to all three very worthy
organizations.
