Hello,
This may be a film the guild members would enjoy! I have always loved the MFF and find their selections are always worth seeing.

A RADICAL THREAD
The Mendocino Film Festival’s 18th year includes a captivating, inclusive, and celebratory line-up of films, live music, and filmmakers visiting from all around the world May 29-June 1. Every year the festival highlights narrative and documentary films and films on the arts play a big part in the coastal film festival. One of particular interest to textile artists is the screening of A RADICAL THREAD. The film follows the San Juan Ridge Community in the Sierra Foothills that has survived countless threats during its 50-year history including mining, logging and arson. Established by artists and ecologists in the 1970's this thriving group now faces their most monumental challenge to date – wildfire and drought caused by climate change. For seventeen years hundreds of volunteers stitched the stories of their struggles and celebrations into 12 tapestry panels that total 83 feet. The film will be followed by a Q&A with the director. Friday, May 30, 1:20pm, Coast Cinemas in Fort Bragg. The complete program and tickets are available at <http://mendofilm.com/> mendofilm.com <http://mendofilm.com>
