[Oceanwavequilters] THANKS! and a note about the 2024 Fort Bragg Quilt Show Small Opportunity Quilt

Just a quick note to say a big "THANK YOU!" for all the kind thoughts and support during my recent hospitalization.  We've been back in Mendocino for a week now (thankfully!) and I'm doing well. A bit of an uphill climb yet, but making progress.





That said, there is one GIANT FAVOR you can all do for me! We would really like to make progress on our 2024 Opportunity quilts (I know, I know.. it seems like it is SO FAR AWAY! But it will be here before you know it...)



I'm leading the small quilt, which is a Wonky House Quilt. I would love to receive lots and lots of wonky house blocks! In case you didn't get the instructions at the last meeting, I'm attaching them. This is an easy peasy block - choose whatever colors strike your fancy! Make it colorful! 



And, in the window of the house, we're encouraging you to put something fun - a pet looking out, a flower, a lamp, a woodland critter - whatever you can think of that's fun! And my husband, Howard, had the idea to make this an I SPY QUILT! So, that's what we're going to do! We'll add a block to the quilt that lists all of the fun and crazy things that are in the wonky house windows! Think of the fun a child will have trying to find all the items! 



If you have any questions about the wonky house block, or if you need help making it, please let me know. There are members who have made blocks already who can help you out.
