[Oceanwavequilters] Help with memory quilt

Hi everyone,
A friend has asked me to make a memory quilt for her using some of her grandmother's things.  I will need to incorporate 13 pairs of gloves as well as a variety of fabrics, lace, embroidery floss, buttons and trims.  I haven't the slightest idea how to begin.  Does anyone have any suggestions, either as to how to construct something like this or a website that offers ideas?  I need help with layout as well as nitty-gritty things like how to attach the gloves or how to care (if at all) for some of the stains/discolorations of some of the fabrics.
I remember that some of you made a memory quilt or two using scarves and/or ties so perhaps you have some ideas for me.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
