[Oceanwavequilters] computer design program

Hello there, fellow quilters!    
I am looking for a computer program that I can use to help me design quilts.  Does anybody use one, and can you tell me about it?  I am currently using colored pencils and a grid, but that is quite tedious, especially if I decide midway through to change the colors.
Anyway, if you know of something, please let me know.  Thanks!
