[Oceanwavequilters] General Meeting 12/11/22

Dear friends,

A few short notes before the agenda for Sunday’s Holiday Party and General Meeting…….

We will be collecting scarves, hats, gloves, and socks at this meeting to donate to the Fort Bragg Food Bank.  Your generous donations will be most appreciated.

The meeting will start promptly at noon, followed by the Holiday Pot-luck, Wearable Art Display and the Cookie Exchange.  This is always such a fun time and I hope you can make it.

The potluck will be served by a few select gloved members.  Masks are suggested for all except while you are eating.  Linda W reminded me that we can all bring our own plate, flatware, etc to cut down on waste.  However, OWQ has utensils for you also.  We will have the windows open so dress in plenty of layers as it has be quite cold lately.

Dee G and Susan B will be handling the Wearable Art.  This sounds like so much fun!

And Cindi Jo volunteered to head up the Cookie Exchange.  Bring 2 dozen cookies and leave with 2 dozen assorted cookies.  Gloves will be provided so each of you can have gloved hands while you select your cookies.  Very cute boxes and/or cellophane bags will be provided.  Cindi Jo, Linda W and Linda M have volunteered to help with the boxes, etc

The drawing for the “chicken” BOM will be held in January.  So, no need to rush and finish your block.  But I have seen some of them and they are SO CUTE!

And, the OWQ Quarterly Raffle will be held at this meeting.  Bring your cash or check book to purchase raffle tickets.  Did you see the pictures in the newsletter?

If you have "Around the Block” quilt blocks, you can bring them to this meeting or drop them off at Sew n Sew.
