[Oceanwavequilters] Make a little quilt to help raise funds for Ukraine!

I'd love for as many of you to be willing to participate in this project as possible!!

The International Quilt Museum is partnering with Rotary
Club International to hold a QUILT AUCTION to raise funds to provide short- and
long-term disaster relief to Ukraine. Each participant will make a 16” x 16”
quilt (3 layers sandwiched, quilted and bound) inspired by the theme of
SUNFLOWERS. These quilts will be auctioned off June 8-10, 2022, by the
International Quilt Museum.



If you would like to participate, details are attached. (Note: the attached flyer says you need to use the IQMs quilts as inspiration, but I'm taking that to loosely mean, make something with sunflowers in it - it can be sunflower fabric, a sunflower applique, a sunflower embroidery - anything to honor the national Ukrainian symbol of the sunflower.)

The quilt you make must measure 16” x 16”. I am happy to
submit your information and mail the quilts to Lincoln, Nebraska, but to do so,
I need you to:

1.     Provide
a good color photo of your finished quilt by May 15th. (If you want
to meet me at Sew ‘n Sew prior to this date, I’ll be happy to take the photo
for you.)

2.     Provide
the following information:

a.     Your
name

b.     Email Address

c.     Quilt Title

d.     Materials

e.     Techniques

f.       Quilt Description/Statement

g.     Permission to sell at auction 

3.     Have the finished quilt to Sew ‘n Sew by May 15th (I can squeak a day or two on this date, but not much) so I can get them mailed off. They must arrive in Nebraska by May 30th to be included in the auction.





I'd like to put together a poster presentation to include at the Quilt Show of the quilts we submit - I think it would be a great display!
