[Oceanwavequilters] High Tech Tucks class -- slots available

I just wanted to remind everyone that my class for High Tech Tucks is on Thursday, 8/19 at 9:30. This technique is by Caryl Bryer Fallert which I used on the Tie Dye Quilt challenge (left attachment).   One of Caryl is on the right. It uses a “quilt as you go” process and is kinda cool.  The class does NOT include doing the border as that is paper pieced.  You should be able to complete the actual top during the class .. sans visiting!

Attached are the class instructions.  Sew n Sew is familiar with the fabric requirements but in general, do not use a picture for the background..  The tucks are made from 2 strips of fabric. 



The Basics Overview:

Sewing Machine with walking foot

Thread to match/blend with the “tucks” (color 1 and color 2)

70/10 or 80/12 needle for the “tucks”

90/14 needle for the quilting

Batting (preferably lightweight) (18” x 28”) — Sew n Sew has a nice fusible



1 yard background fabric (which also makes the back) and 1/2 yard each of two colors that work with this background.  .



I will supply grid interfacing fabric and the 505 spray as this grid is not fusible.  If you prefer, you can use a lightweight fusible cut 18” x 28” and draw vertical lines 1” apart (along 18” length).
