How about the rest of you?? This is intended to be the Ocean Wave Quilters' gift to our community - a bright spot in this pandemic craziness.
We can hang 50 quilts - so we need more participation!!
Please consider hanging a quilt. It can be any quilt, made at any time. It's ok if it was in a previous Fort Bragg Quilt Show.
Let me know the width and the length so we can assign you a spot and a time to come hang it.
Remember:
Each quilter will hang her own quilt. You will be given a specific time to hang between 9 and 10 a.m. on that Saturday to encourage social distancing.
Note that the fence is only 5 feet high, so shorter quilts would be better. Your quilt will need to have a sleeve. You will also need a dowel or stick that is a couple of inches or so longer than your quilt is wide. (You might consider adding a bottom sleeve and a bottom dowel in case it's windy.) You will need to bring some twine, string, or wire to attach your dowel to the fence. You may bring paper towels and spray cleaner to wipe off the fence (we will have wiped it down ourselves first thing that morning). We ask that you spray the paper towel away from the quilts and use it to wipe the fence. You might also want to bring a sheet to hang behind your quilt. Just realize that you will be sharing the space with others.
Quilters will also be given a time to take their quilt down between 4 and 5 p.m.
Thank you!
Sharon Lau
