Hi all,
As some of you may know, I sing with the chorale that the music festival sponsors. Since we couldn't do a concert this year, we put together this short virtual concert. I hope you enjoy it! Take care, and a very Happy New Year to you all! It has to be better than 2020, right?
Love,
-Evelyn

Dear Evelyn,
We wish you, your family, and your friends a cozy and lovely holiday season. To help you celebrate, please enjoy videos of two beautiful winter songs the Festival Chorale has recorded in recent weeks. You’ll hear Eric Whitacre's “Glow,” and Randall Thompson’s “Choose Something Like a Star,” set to a poem by Robert Frost.
The last stanza:
And steadfast as Keats' Eremite,
Not even stooping from its sphere,
It asks a little of us here.
It asks of us a certain height,
So when at times the mob is swayed
To carry praise or blame too far,
We may choose something like a star
To stay our minds on and be staid.
This has been such a difficult year. Here’s to a happy and healthy 2021, filled with good times and new adventures.

Bring a memorized musical theater song, aria (in any language), pop or art song to this class in acting styles for singers. Register as Participant (limit 10) or Auditor.
