Make Sure Rural California is Counted: 2020 Census

The https://lcmspubcontact.lc.ca.gov/PublicLCMS/LinkTracking.php?id=492021&eaid=592921&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.census.gov%2F&tid=AD2C753076046 began on April 1. When each person in every household is counted, https://lcmspubcontact.lc.ca.gov/PublicLCMS/LinkTracking.php?id=492022&eaid=592921&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.californiacensus.org&tid=AD2C753076046 will get its fair share of https://lcmspubcontact.lc.ca.gov/PublicLCMS/LinkTracking.php?id=492023&eaid=592921&url=https%3A%2F%2F2020census.gov%2Fen%2Fcommunity-impact.html&tid=AD2C753076046 for local schools, roads, food pantries, senior and disabled housing, universities, health care, homelessness, wildfire recovery, safe drinking water and more.

It's critical that rural areas in counties like Del Norte, Trinity, Humboldt and Mendocino get counted. In areas where mail is only received at P.O. boxes, which is the case for many of you, the original plan was to send census workers to visit households to hand-deliver invitations and paper questionnaires or conduct interviews with households to collect the census data. With the COVID-19 pandemic, that may not happen, at least not in the near future.

Select 'Respond Now'

Select 'Start Questionnaire' 

Select 'If you do not have a Census ID, click here' (link located towards the bottom of the page)

Enter home address. For those without a traditional mailing address, enter physical/fire service address or select 'I do not have a street address.' If you select 'do not have address' it will first ask if you have a Rural Route address then will prompt you to a few other questions to determine how best to enter your location.
