Hi, All! Only 11 days until the tea. We just wanted to send reminders to
everyone about it all, Paula will send an e-mail to the event committee
and hostesses within a few days.
We will be setting up the rooms and hanging all of the brown bag
challenges on Saturday, April 27th between 10:00 and Noon. This is also
when the hostesses need to bring all of your table settings to get your
tables ready. Please contact Lonna Oliver about borrowing her things to
make sure she and you are ready. Hostesses will provide: tablecloth,
teapot, sugar, creamer, container for lemon wedges, 6 place cards, 6
napkins, 6 spoons, 6 cups, 6 saucers, and NO table favors or gifts. OWQ
will provide: a small center piece, small forks, plates. Also, if you
happen to have a "tower" type plate stand, you are welcome to bring it
too. Make sure you bring plates that fit, and we'll load them with
goodies. This is not necessary, and may block your guests from seeing
across the table, but if you'd like to try it, bring it!

FOOD: The sign-up sheet went around the room at our last meeting, and 16
people have committed to bringing food. We could use a few more people to
bring savory items (nuts, quiche, scones, or veggies) and desserts
(cookies, fruit, etc.). Make sure your food items are bite-sized servings;
sandwiches need to be cut into fourths, nuts or small similar items need
to be in SMALL cupcake papers, or small plastic shot glass size cups.
Regular cupcake papers and cups are just too large to fit onto the plates.
Food has to be to the Senior Center by 12:30 on Sunday, and must arrive
completely prepared. This is to make the job easier and calmer for the
volunteers (they want to be able to enjoy the event too!). Thank you for
your courtesy!

The speaker will begin at approximately 1:00 and the tea will follow.

Questions, or offers to bring more food; contact Paula. Thanks!
