[Oceanwavequilters] 2018 Fort Bragg Quilt Show Quilt Walk - see attached article

For those of you who were not at our meeting last Sunday, we have added a twist to the Quilt Walk this year.
We have put the names of participating merchants in a hat. Participating quilters draw the name of a merchant, and make (or find or borrow) a quilt that best represents that business. This could be a quilt that you already have - or know that someone has - or you could create it from scratch. Perhaps you have the perfect fabric for Relish (maybe hot dogs?) or Cowlicks (ice cream?). Or you draw the jewelry store and make a double wedding ring block. Most of these quilts are relatively small - last year most merchants had 12 x 12 squares.
We will have a panel of judges who will determine which quilt(s) best represent the business(es) - prizes will be awarded!
I've attached a copy of the article that was in the Advocate last week.
If you would like to participate, e-mail me, and I will have my husband draw the name of a merchant from the hat for you - I will e-mail you the merchant's name, and the size of the quilt they had last year. The rest is up to you!
Quilts are due at the May meeting.
