[Oceanwavequilters] the new listserv set up

Decided to make the listserv easier by just having me be the monitor at first.  After everyone figures it out we change things around. I’ve made it so ALL posts sent to the OWQ listserv go first to a moderation page.  I’ll be notified and be able to approve or discard as to appropriateness. 

Thought that would be simpler than having folks send stuff to three people and get everyone used to sending emails to oceanwavequilters at lists.mcn.org <mailto:oceanwavequilters at lists.mcn.org> 

What do you think of this being the email (see below) I’m going to send out to all the members.  Please let me know if it should be simplified, edited or changed in any way you see appropriate and lucid for all the members.

A new mailing list or listserv has been set up for Ocean Wave Quilters.

Now, if you send an email to oceanwavequilters at lists.mcn.org <mailto:oceanwavequilters at lists.mcn.org> 

it will go out to ALL the members of Ocean Wave Quilters who have email addresses.

To post to the Mailing List:

1) You must post from the email address which you gave Ocean Wave Quilters when you became a member.  If you need to know what email address that is, please contact me, lynne at mcn.org <mailto:lynne at mcn.org> and I’ll let you know.

2) Only post emails directly PERTINENT to Ocean Wave Quilters.

3) If you want to post to the mailing list and are totally confused, then send that email to me, lynne at mcn.org <mailto:lynne at mcn.org>, and I’ll send it to everyone on the mailing list.

4) When anyone posts to the mailing list/listserv EVERYONE in OWQ receives a copy of that post. Thus, if you post an email to the mailing list then you will receive a copy of that as well (to show you that it’s been posted). 

5) At first I’ll be monitoring the posts (to make sure what goes to everyone is appropriate) so don’t despair if there’s a slight delay in delivery

6) Please check your spam folder or filter for emails with  [Oceanwavequilters]  in the Subject.  If you see any then please mark them as “Not Spam”. 
	Also,  put on your safe senders list:  lists.mcn.org <http://lists.mcn.org/>
