Dear Occupy folks<br>
<br>
The Navy is coming to Dana Gray School in Fort Bragg to promote their<br>
desire for more intensive war training exercises off the Northwest Coast of<br>
the U.S. on May 3, 2019 from 6-8:30 p.m. This increased training will<br>
include the use of Low Frequency Sonar which is very harmful to marine<br>
mammals.<br>
<br>
The Ocean Protection Coalition of Mendocino County (OPC) has asked<br>
permission to set up a table outside the school venue with information that<br>
disagrees with the Navy?s opinion that marine mammals are likely to be<br>
harmed. But OPC was refused permission by the Superintendent of Fort Bragg<br>
School unified School District, Rebecca Walker.<br>
<br>
OPC will be on the sidewalk, which is public space, with signs urging<br>
people to comment on the Navy?s proposal for increased war training off the<br>
U.S. coast. OPEC.<br>
<br>
Our next meeting is at 7 p.m. onTuesday, April 23 at 310 N. Harold in Fort<br>
Bragg. We invite people to come to our meeting and help us make signs.<br>
Please join us if you can at Dana Gray School on May 3 at 6 p.m.<br>
