I read every word and it still is confusing. But this is why I am voting NO!</font><div class=""><font color="#000000" class=""><br class=""></font></div><div class=""><font color="#000000" class="">As the law stands now, egg-laying hens, breeding pigs, and calf raised for veal all must be able to turn around freely, lie down, stand up, and fully extend their limbs. </font></div><div class=""><font color="#000000" class=""><br class=""></font></div><div class=""><font color="#000000" class=""><strong class="">A chicken has a wing span of 30-32"</strong>. But under prop 12 they would only have 12." No way could they spread their wings or freely move around.</font></div><div class=""><font color="#000000" class=""><strong class="">Pigs</strong> would lose all movement until 2022. And then they would have 24 sq. ft. or the equivalent of 5 x 5 feet. The length of pigs range from 36" - 71". No way could the larger pigs lay down or turn around.</font></div><div class=""><font color="#000000" class=""><strong class="">Veal Calves</strong> would have only 43 sq. ft or the equivalent of 7' x 6' are around 4' in length by the time they are 18 weeks when slaughtered. Not too bad except they are already protected under current laws to be able to freely move. Under prop 12 they could be put back into 2ft x 4.5ft pens until 2022.</font></div><div class=""><font color="#000000" class=""><br class=""></font></div><div class=""><font color="#000000" class="">These animals currently have protections that we voted for.
